The Denver Nuggets found their way back to the win column by dominating the Boston Celtics 103-84, powered by a solid performance from their Serbian center Nikola Jokic. The former MVP recorded 30 points and 12 rebounds, allowing his team to bounce back after a difficult stretch following the NBA All-Star Break.
A crucial victory in the Western Conference standings race
This victory comes at the perfect time for Denver, who had a mixed 1-2 record on their recent road trip, including a loss at Golden State last Sunday. The Nuggets maintain pressure on Houston in the Western Conference, sitting just a slight percentage behind the Rockets for third place.
Despite disappointing shooting statistics (11/28 from the field, 4/13 from three-point range), Jokic made the difference at crucial moments. The center notably contributed to a decisive 11-0 run to close out the third quarter, giving his team a ten-point lead heading into the final period.
Jokic literally just did the meme bruh lmao

Murray absent, Hardaway Jr. steps up
Denver had to play without Jamal Murray, who left after only 7 minutes and 51 seconds of play due to illness. Tim Hardaway Jr. took over with 14 points, providing the offensive support Jokic needed.
On the Boston side, Jaylen Brown was making his return after missing Tuesday’s game at Phoenix Suns due to a right knee contusion. The wing scored 23 points, while Derrick White, a Colorado native, added 20 points including 18 in the second quarter alone. The Celtics, who were riding a five-game winning streak and had won nine of their last ten games, ultimately fell short.
The game was also marked by a video tribute to Doug Moe during the first timeout. The former Nuggets coach, who passed away on February 17 at age 87, won 432 games in ten seasons in Denver and led the team to the Western Conference Finals in 1985.
