Betclic ELITE - Limoges CSP and Kenny Baptiste have reached a mutual agreement to part ways. Hugo Invernizzi will replace him at power forward position.

At Limoges, Hugo Invernizzi will indeed replace Kenny Baptiste at the power forward position.

Kenny Baptiste and Limoges CSP reach agreement

Two weeks before its first Betclic ELITE regular season game, Limoges CSP will make a change to its 2025-2026 roster. As previously announced, Kenny Baptiste (2.01m, 25 years old) requested to leave despite having a contract until June 30, 2026. According to Matthieu Marot from Le Populaire du Centre, he has reached a mutual termination agreement with the club. The former Le Mans, Quimper and Chalon player has returned to Guadeloupe to be with his partner, who is expecting a child.

Signed for two years in the 2024 offseason, the MJC Les Abymes-trained player averaged 7.8 points on 47% shooting (28.6% from three-point range), 4.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 28 games last season.

Hugo Invernizzi expected to join shortly

As previously announced, Hugo Invernizzi (1.98m, 32 years old) will replace Kenny Baptiste in the Limoges CSP roster. The shooting big man has previously played for the club between 2019 and 2022, when Crawford Palmer was also serving his first stint as sporting director.

After leaving Limoges, Invernizzi attempted his first overseas venture. Returning home to Alsace in 2023, he didn’t have the same impact as during his CSP seasons. In 2024-2025, the former Pôle France player averaged 6.7 points on 38.9% shooting, 4.4 rebounds, and 2 assists in 27 games.

At Limoges, he will provide a very different profile from Kenny Baptiste: namely his outside shooting, game understanding, and strong character. This will complement the frontcourt already consisting of Justin Lewis, Nikola Jovanovic, and Gavin Ware.
