In September 2023, the French Basketball Federation (FFBB) and the Skweek platform announced they had signed a partnership and broadcasting agreement for the French Cup and the LFB. Starting September 23, 2023, the platform will broadcast one women's basketball game per week, on Saturdays at 7:00 PM, as well as the entire playoffs and finals in co-broadcast with Sport en France.
LFB Format
The LFB championship is organized in three phases:
- Regular Season: 12 teams competing in a home-and-away format
- Playoffs: the top 8 teams from the regular season compete in quarterfinals, semifinals, and the final. The final is played in a best-of-2 format.
- Playdowns: teams ranked 9th to 12th compete in a home-and-away format. The last team in this 4-team mini-bracket is relegated to LF2.
