Isaih Moore Leads Edmonton Stingers Past Montreal Alliance with a Dominant Double-Double

CEBL – The Edmonton Stingers cruised to a 98-78 victory over the Montreal Alliance on June 7, 2026, powered by an outstanding performance from Isaih Moore, who posted 27 points and 15 rebounds in under 30 minutes, while Edmonton's depth proved too much for a Montreal side that lacked the firepower to keep pace.

The CEBL on June 7, 2026, dismantling the Montreal Alliance by 20 points in a dominant wire-to-wire performance. The final score, 98-78, barely tells the full story of how thoroughly Edmonton controlled the contest from tip-off to the final buzzer.

Isaih Moore: A Two-Way Force

The evening belonged to Isaih Moore. In just 29 minutes and 36 seconds on the floor, the Stingers forward delivered a near-flawless performance, finishing as the game’s leader in both points (27) and rebounds (15). Efficient on both ends of the floor, Moore set the tone early and never let up, giving Edmonton a dominant interior presence that Montreal simply had no answer for.

The Stingers didn’t rely on Moore alone, however. Scott Lindsey was remarkably productive in limited time, contributing 17 points in just 18 minutes off the bench. Michael Nuga added 15 points and 6 rebounds in 24 minutes and 36 seconds, while Taye Donald chipped in 11 points and Stanley Davis Jr. rounded out a balanced attack with 10 points and 5 assists. Edmonton’s depth was on full display, with five players reaching double figures and each contributing in their own way.

Montreal’s Balance Not Enough to Compete

The Montreal Alliance showed some resilience in the scoring column, with five players also reaching double figures. Quincy Guerrier led the way with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Guillaume Payen-Boucard contributed 14 points and Michael Hughes II recorded a double-double of his own with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Javon Freeman-Liberty added 11 points and 7 assists, and Anthony Nelson finished with 10 points.

Despite that balanced offensive output, Montreal never found the intensity or the defensive consistency required to challenge Edmonton’s rhythm. The Alliance’s scoring was spread thin rather than concentrated, and the Stingers’ collective energy proved overwhelming throughout the game.

Edmonton’s ability to generate production across its entire rotation made the difference. While Montreal could match individual contributors, they couldn’t match the Stingers’ depth or the sheer dominance of Moore in the paint. The 20-point margin reflects a game that was never truly in doubt.

This victory reinforces Edmonton’s status as one of the CEBL’s most complete teams, with a frontcourt anchor in Moore capable of taking over on any given night, and enough supporting pieces to make life difficult for any opponent in the league.
