Tofas welcomes Jordan Floyd for the end of the season. The 28-year-old American combo guard, who had started his 2025-2026 campaign in Israel, returns to Turkey and the BCL. Tofas Bursa officially announced on Saturday the signing of a contract until the end of the season. He had previously played in Bursa, but for the other professional club, Bursaspor.

A return to BCL after a successful first experience

This is not Floyd’s first time playing in Turkey. During the 2023-2024 season, after his experience at JL Bourg, he wore the colors of Bursaspor Info Yatirim, making his first steps in the BCL and in the Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi. In five appearances in the European competition, he averaged 12.4 points per game.

After finishing his college career in NCAA Division II between 2015 and 2020, Floyd began his professional career which took him to Greece, France, Italy and China. This season in the Israeli Winner League with Maccabi Cnaan Ramat Gan, he was averaging 16.8 points, 3.9 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game after eight contests. In France, this true sniper had the role of sixth man under Frédéric Fauthoux’s orders (14.8 points at 47%, 1.6 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 57 games across all competitions). He also played in the Leaders Cup final.

A key addition for the play-ins against Cholet

Floyd joins Emil Rajkovic’s team at a crucial moment. Tofas is preparing to face Cholet in a best-of-three Play-In series to secure a spot in Group J of the Round of 16 of the BCL’s 10th season. ALBA Berlin and AEK are already qualified in this four-team group, with the winner of the series between Spartak Karditsa Iaponiki completing the bracket.

In the Turkish championship, Tofas currently sits in sixth place with a record of 7 wins and 6 losses, tied with Anadolu Efes and Galatasaray Istanbul. The schedule looks busy for Frenchman Hugo Besson’s team with a game against Karsiyaka on Friday in the championship, before the first Play-In game against Cholet on Tuesday, January 6 at Tofas Arena, followed by the return match on Thursday, January 8 at La Meilleraie.
