On Monday, Doncic resumed training in Ljubljana without any issues, allowing him to play Tuesday against Great Britain. The Federation notes that the entire roster is available despite some minor concerns.
This quick recovery is promising ahead of Slovenia’s official EuroBasket opener on August 28 against Poland. The Slovenian team will compete in Group D in Katowice, Poland, alongside France, Belgium, Poland, Israel, and Iceland.
For Doncic, EuroBasket is preparation for the 2025-2026 NBA season. Since joining the Lakers, he has maintained his averages (28.2 points, 8.1 rebounds). Extended for three years at $165M, he reportedly lost 31 pounds and seems ready to take his game to the next level.
